What Marine Directory does
Marine Directory helps customers find named marine businesses, request private quotes and track work. It provides marketplace and communication tools. It does not perform marine work, employ listed suppliers or take payment for jobs.
Accounts
You must be at least 18, provide accurate information, keep your sign-in secure and use the service lawfully. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
Suppliers and verification
Suppliers are responsible for the accuracy of their profiles, qualifications, insurance, availability, quotes and work. Listing, claiming or verification statuses have different meanings and do not amount to a guarantee, endorsement or recommendation. Customers should make their own checks before appointing a supplier.
Requests, quotes and jobs
A request is an invitation to quote. A supplier’s quote is its own offer. When a customer accepts a quote, the contract for the marine work is directly between that customer and supplier on the agreed scope and terms. Marine Directory is not a party to that contract. Payments are arranged outside the platform.
Acceptable use
Do not submit false information, impersonate another person or business, misuse personal data, interfere with the service, upload unlawful or harmful material, manipulate reviews or use the platform for spam. You retain ownership of content you submit and give us permission to host and display it as needed to operate the service.
Availability and responsibility
We aim to keep the service accurate and available but cannot promise uninterrupted access or that every listing, quote or review is error-free. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. Subject to that, we are not responsible for the quality, safety, legality, timing or outcome of work agreed directly between customers and suppliers.
Suspension and closure
We may restrict or close accounts and remove content where reasonably necessary to protect users, comply with law or respond to a serious breach. You may ask us to close your account by contacting us.
Law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, while consumers retain any mandatory rights that apply where they live. We may update these terms as the service develops and will show the latest date above.
